Pete Carroll has blunt reaction

Former Seattle Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson will make his debut for the Denver Broncos at Seattle's Lumen Field, he has played dozens of games for more than 72,000 Seahawks fans.

But when he returns with the Broncos on Monday night, he probably shouldn't expect a warm welcome from The 12th Man.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was asked how Wilson should be welcomed by fans upon his return to Seattle.

While Carroll didn't say fans should welcome him in a dehumanizing way, he certainly didn't dismiss it.

"You join, or you don't, I'll leave it to the 12s," Carroll said Thursday, according to Pro Football Talk. "

I'm not going to miss that opportunity to respond, so I don't have to make that decision."

I'll leave it for 12, I think they know exactly what to do.

"The Seahawks will host the Broncos on Monday nights at 8:15 p.m. The NFL world will certainly be in awe of Seattle's reaction to Wilson's return.
