Nebraska fires Scott Frost

The Nebraska Cornhuskers got off to a terrible start to the 2022 college football season, and as a result, the program finally pulled the plug on the Scott Frost experiment.

On Sunday, after Georgia Southern beat Nebraska 45–42, the team's second humiliating defeat of the season,

Frost was informed that he had been fired as head coach of the Cornhuskers via Bruce Feldman.

Associate head coach Mickey Joseph believes he will be Nebraska football's interim head coach for the rest of the season.

Nebraska started the season 1-2.

They won against North western in Week 1 before losing successively at the hands of North Dakota and Georgia Southern.

Despite no results in any season since becoming head coach in 2018, Frost has had a remarkably long line at Nebraska.

Pulled the plug on the Sunday before the event.

The now former head coach had high hopes after joining the program after a successful run at UCF but failed to bring Nebraska to that fate, before going 1-2 in his impeachment run this weekend.
