George Kittle is not expected to play

According to multiple reports, tight end George Kittel is expected to miss the regular season opener in Chicago with a groin injury.

The first to say so was the San Francisco Chronicle.

Kittel, listed as a suspect, was healthy throughout the training camp and preseason.

The injury first surfaced on Monday. He did not train on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

Based on the team's unofficial depth chart, Charlie Warner moves to the starting grid.
